go on a mission

I am a Physical Therapist who has completed 4 medical - humanitarian missions. I have always loved to travel and don't see the world as that big of a place. My goal is to do missions across the world and to inspire others to get out there and do more,be more and see more.

About Me

My photo
Susan Calandra
Travel Stuff: I have been to all 50 states and love the USA, I have traveled since I was very young to visit family out of state. I first went to Europe when I was 10 to visit relatives stationed in Germany with the ARMY and traveled across 5 countries in a small van. Eating lots of brochian, butter (real butter mind you) and cheese. Go Carbs! I then did a Rotary exchange as a Jr. to France, Skied the Alps in College and Saw Iberia and crossed into Africa in my 20's. That trip was with my mom, aunt and grandmother. We rented a car and drove. Not one of us spoke any Spanish and it was an adventure. Especially getting pulled over by the Police at night. Yikes. Climbing Mt. Fuji was a recent adventure/accomplishment. Adventure: I love adventure and really thrive on "high risk". I love to ski and have skied a ton in the East, west and the Alps. When I was 18 I was one of 7 to break a Guinness record for endurance skiing for 88 hours. I was the only female to finish!! I have rafted a lot, bungee jumped, hiked Tuckermans, done rock climbing. I am a bit scared of the ocean/water and have avoided water related adventures up to this point, but who knows?
